When we visited the breeding trials at IPR Farms in Ruthven last month, we learned that the breeders of De Ruiter Seeds have been working hard to offer the North American growers some alternative varieties with improved characteristics. Together with the Operation Managers Rick and Josh Mastronardi of IPR Farms and Rafael Lacaz Ruiz of Monsanto, I took a look at the most interesting new yellow pepper varieties with potential to become successful commercial introductions.

Growers Get a Close Look at De Ruiter® Tomato Pipeline at Annual Demo Days

St. Louis, Mo. (June 24, 2013) — Close to 100 growers gathered on June 18th and 19th, 2013 in Leamington, Ontario for the annual De Ruiter Demo Days. De Ruiter Technology Development Representative Jeff Gilbert said the event generated a lot of interest in the current De Ruiter tomato portfolio and future pipeline.
“We showcased our newest varieties and gave growers a preview of our tomato pipeline, which is heavily focused on high production and quality as well as resistance to Powdery mildew,” said Gilbert.
